Manuscripts that do not meet the journal\u2019s ethics policies or quality standards will be rejected before peer-review. Manuscripts that are not adequately prepared will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission. After initial checks, the&nbsp;Managing&nbsp;editor&nbsp;will consult the Editor-in-chief&nbsp; to determine whether the manuscript fits the journal\u2019s scope and is scientifically valid. Reject decisions at this point will be confirmed by the&nbsp;Editor-in-chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peer-<\/strong><strong>r<\/strong><strong>eview<\/strong><strong> process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">After passing the initial checks, a manuscript is assigned to independent experts for peer-review. A double-blind peer-review process is applied, where authors\u2019 identities are hidden from reviewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Reviewers should not have published with any of the co-authors during the past five years and should not currently work or collaborate with any of the institutions of the co-authors of the submitted manuscript.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Editorial <\/strong><strong>d<\/strong><strong>ecision<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">After peer-review, the Managing editor will communicate one of the following decisions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"font-size:16px\"><li>Accept after minor revisions.<\/li><li>Reconsider after major revisions.<\/li><li>Reject and encourage resubmission.<\/li><li>Reject.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">All reviewer comments should be responded point-by-point. In case the authors disagree with a reviewer\u2019s comment, they must state a clear response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Production and <\/strong><strong>p<\/strong><strong>ublication<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">When accepted, the manuscript will undergo professional copy-editing, English editing, proofreading by the authors, final corrections, pagination, and finally, publication on Percursos &amp; IDEIAS\u2019&nbsp;website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Initial procedures All submitted manuscripts will be checked by the&nbsp;Managing&nbsp;editor&nbsp;to determine whether they are duly prepared.
