Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This article has as goal to envision the challenges of SMEs and the role of Nation States vis-\u00e0-vis the changes generated by the globalisation process. As most of the relevance has been given to the multinational firms, this article focus its analysis in the important role SMEs play at inter-firm level, since it has been underestimated. In this context the role of Nation States as key player is important due to the importance of the creation of interconnectedness with other international partners that facilitate the entrance in international networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
