Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The analysis in this article begins with the premise that all qualitative social research needs to be subjected to some form of quality control to ensure that has been developed with sufficient methodological rigor to demonstrate that the results achieved are the most truthful and close to social reality. Until a few years ago, quality in social research process was only associated with studies from a quantitative approach, and the little research produced in the qualitative field proposed the use of the same quality criteria as those used in positive science. Today most social scientists using qualitative approaches argue for further study of their own quality criteria for this approach. This article shows the intense debate that even today continues to raise important epistemological and methodological challenges for the Social Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
