Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work aimed to study solitude in a convenience sample of portuguese subjects in order to compare the values of sex, age, marital status and educational qualifications. For this purpose, we used the Differential Loneliness Scale for Non-Student Populations (Sermat & Schmidt, 1983) that was translated and adapted to our population. The data were treated statistically and tresults allowed us to conclude that marital status is the variable that best explains the sociodemographic loneliness, and the divorced group most affected by it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
